CIDETEC Energy Storage is organising an international workshop on 13 June at Naturklima’s headquarters to discuss the opportunities of the circular economy in the battery industry.
The battery revolution is here to stay and the need to be sustainable makes it necessary to create better batteries with a minimum impact on the environment. Driven by the new Batteries Regulation, the concept of circular economy opens a new set of challenges, but also new opportunities for the creation of companies and wealth under the prism of sustainability.
“ZIRKULAR BAT Workshop. Circular Economy in the Battery Industry: Challenges and Opportunities” is an international forum, open to the public, which will be held on 13 June at Naturklima’s headquarters in San Sebastian, organised by CIDETEC Energy Storage with the collaboration of Naturklima and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. It will address the challenge of creating a circular economy around the battery industry, with a focus on the industrial side, highlighting topics such as:
– The general vision of the market.
– Logistics and handling.
– Second life of batteries.
– Recycling.

The workshop, which will be inaugurated by José Ignacio Asensio, Sustainability Deputy of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, will be composed of presentations by experts in the field of major European companies and organizations:
