CIDETEC presented their latest developments and applications of 3R technology (Reprocessable, Recyclable and Repairable thermostable composites) in Paris.
EC World, the largest international composite fair, opened last March 8 premiering a new location, in Avenue Paris Nord Villepinte. The design, content and staging of the JEC were the object of admiration of the more than 36 thousand professionals who attended the fair, achieving a new record in this year’s edition, with a total area of 62,000 sqm and 1,300 exhibitors. One of this year’s novelties were the Planets, four new exhibition areas covering 18,000 m² of the total area of the site, each one geared to a specific market: Aero Planet, Auto Planet, Sport Planet and Sustainable Planet.
During the fair, participants learnt about the latest developments related to compound materials from the conference materials, technical sales presentations and more than 40 presentations that took place in different areas of the exhibition.
The public and organisers unanimously deemed the event to be of absolute satisfaction, recognizing a job well done in the way of presenting the composites, as well as the variety of products and technologies exhibited to the public. From what was presented at the fair and in a world that is demanding better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, composites are postulated as the best alternative and therefore are still undergoing expansion and growth.
CIDETEC, with its own stand and in-situ prototypes and demonstrations, unveiled its latest developments in Thermostable, Reprocessable, Recyclable and Repairable composites. It is a patented technology (WO2015181054A1), based on dynamic covalent chemistry, a subject booming in polymer science set to revolutionize the world of composites in the coming years. It also had the opportunity to hold meetings with more than 35 leading companies in the industry, attend workshops and have first hand contact with the developments of other top-level exhibitors.
