M36 iModBatt progress meeting

The sixth technical progress meeting of iModBatt took place on the 8th of October of 2020 online due to the COVID-19 restrictions. This time, as well as for our previous 5th General Assembly in May, we decided to compress the discussion in one only longer working day. Most discussions were focused on the assembly of the BPs and further testing activities. The first part of the day was intended to summarize the work performed in the last six months in each WP. After these short highlights of each WP, the main discussion started. During the previous weeks to the telco, all open hot topics were collected so that this list was used as a guide for the detailed discussion. Four blocks were defined:

  • Achieved modules testing results and future testing activities: the results on the modules electrical and thermal tests were discussed among the experts and a new testing plan scheduled for next months at BP level.
  • BPs assembly and design overview: the situation of the BPs assembly was shared and some missing parts requested to corresponding partners. The mechanical and electrical design of the BPs was refreshed and any issue happened during the BP assembly shared.
  • BP in-vehicle integration: a plan to gather the BP assemblers, designers and testers with the integrator was defined in order to arrange a smooth BP integration.
  • LCA, reuse and second life of BPs: as last part of the telco, the situation of the LCA was presented and the BOM analysed; there was a short discussion on the reuse and second life approach that will be discussed separately in a smaller working group.

During the day, the importance of the definition of the exploitable results was highlighted and a final analysis by each exploitable result leader on the challenges to exploit the achieved results requested.
