The 10th International Advanced Automotive Battery Conference AABC Europe 2020 https://www.advancedautobat.com/europe turned out to be the biggest AABC event ever held, with more than 1.000 attendees during 4 days, starting from the 12th of January. The program covered chemistries and materials supporting the next generation of electric vehicle batteries, while maintaining the core focus on applied technologies needed for hybrid and electric cars and specialty vehicles.
Hartmut Popp from the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology contributed with a scientific poster with the title ‘Ante-Mortem Analysis and Ageing Testing of SOTA Cylindrical Lithium-Ion Cells’ covering latest test results from iModBatt project. Specifically, the poster provided an overview of material composition and electrical performance of 8 state of the art high energy cylindrical cells and their ageing behavior for automotive cycle life testing. The contribution, which was a joint effort by AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Cidetec and RWTH Aachen, was presented in the engineering symposia (slot 3) and was well received by the audience.
